In March the International Quilt Study Center & Museum opened its Exhibition Design Dynamics of Log Cabin Quilts in the Lois Gottsch Gallery at the museum. One of my favorite parts of this show is the great animation I helped create with the students of The Vault, a project led by Michael Burton, lecturer in the Department of Textiles, Clothing and Fashion Design at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Some of our local quilters (and some of our loyal volunteers) were inspired by the Design Dynamics exhibition and made Log Cabin quilts of their own, which we displayed in our community showcase, which hangs on the rails of our second-floor balcony and grand staircase at the museum.
