Hi folks, the MistressT here. Sharing is one of my favorite things, so long as we’re not talking about dessert or alcoholic items. Craft swaps really satisfy that desire without me giving up cheesecake or gin. YAY! I’ve not yet been involved with a needlework-specific sway, but I’ve been lucky enough to have sent and received needlework in most of the few swaps I’ve participated in on craftster.org. YAY!
I was partnered with the talented and adorable, Camalama for my very first swap ever and she made me these adorable kitchen towels.
One is always hanging from my freezer handle and used strictly for cleaning my glasses (eye, not drinking). This not only ensures that I won’t smear anything on my lenses while trying to clean them, but keeps my pretty white towels from getting stained… and since mostly what gets made in my kitchen is coffee, you can be assured there would be stains.
The Invite Your Partner Swap 9 was my 3rd swap and I was invited by the gifted and lovely, mimiw to be her partner. Man, can she sew [gulp]… no pressure. She didn’t embroider for me, but she did make me this fantastic needle book that I use all the time for my embroidery and other textile poking hobbies. Look at that cute stitching on the back cover!
You can see that I store a lot more than needles in there.
You can also assume by this photo that I’m not one of those needle workers with a super-organized floss stash or anything. Ahem.
Thank you Camelama and Mimiw and all the other awesome crafters and artists I’ve have the pleasure of swapping with!
