It’s that time of year again, when a young stitcher’s fancy turns to thoughts of decorations and gifts. But this is mr x stitch, so we don’t make your typical holiday folderol. Here’s a selection of takes on the holidays from our very own Phat Quarter flickr pool.
Let’s face it, no matter how merry it may be, it can also be a bit much. Expressing that perfectly is this cross stitch by thewilltorock:
One of everybody’s faves is The Charlie Brown Christmas. Here’s two takes by users Randi and dsqmary:
Another holiday classic, also depicted by the talented dsqmary, is “A Christmas Story:”
The pieces from dsqmary are collaborations with her son; he draws them, then she stitches them. I love that!!
And nothing says the holidays like freshly fallen snow! Here’s a piece by Shanna, that captures the reverential peace of the moment.
If you’re looking for subversive stitchy inspiration, Julie Jackson’s always got you covered over at Subversive Cross Stitch.
I hope you all have a merry happy and a safe healthy. Stay warm, stay cozy, stitch lots, and roll on, 2016!!
