Too Cute Tuesday – Tales of the Forest Motifs by Follow the White Bunny

Nicole Vos van Avezathe, the Dutch artist behind the lovely Follow the White Bunny blog, designs beautiful patterns that remind me of classic children’s books illustrations. But with 21st Century twist.

dainty doe

Her hedgehogs, rabbits and deer reflect a clear, beautiful realism. She stitches them in quiet but deep colors, often richly shaded. And her scenes (some drawn from fables and tales) seem to capture actual breathing moments frozen in stitch.

I am thrilled to see her latest pattern collection, Tales from the Forest Motifs. Here she collects smaller-sized images, perfect to add to pillowcases and to build stories around. So wonderful! I was especially taken with the little bear silhouette.
