Too Cute Tuesday – Tiny Jackalope by Follow the White Bunny

Once again, Nicole of Follow the White Bunny has created a creature so intensely adorable that you almost can’t believe what you’re seeing.

tiny jackalope

Here is her latest, a precious, tiny jackalope that could have hopped off the page of a beloved masterpiece of children’s literature. Nicole’s designs, and the meticulous way that she brings out the detail in her stitching, remind of a very fine woodcut illustrations.

In her blog post about the piece, she tells us that she stitched it with single strands of floss and that, at times, she wished there was such a thing as a half strand of floss, so that she could stitch even more detail.

Check out more of Nicole’s artwork in her flickr stream, her blog and in her shop, where you can find the loveliest of patterns.

Too Cute Tuesdays are brought to you in association with our friends over at Feeling Stitchy!
