We’ve some fantastic columns on Mr X Stitch and we wanted to celebrate the authors who share their love of needlecraft with you. This time it’s Jess “LoadofOlBobbins” Taylor, who has picked some terrific talent in her Exploring Etsy column!
Name: Jessica Taylor aka Loadofolbobbins
Location: By the glorious seaside in Portsmouth.
Favourite Colour: Turquoise, as one quick peek in my wardrobe can swiftly confirm.
Favourite Film: Oh heavens to Betsy 29 years on this planet and I still have yet to successfully answer this question but ‘as you wish’ Mr X, for me The Princess Bride is right up there.
Favourite Band: Imogen Heap, not so much a band but a one woman musical extravaganza.
Favourite Book: A Room with a View by E. M. Forster and The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen by Alan Moore (so painful just narrowing it down to two I think going all the way to just one would have scarred me for life!)
Tell us a joke: What did the grape do when it got stepped on? It let out a little wine.
A little piece of wisdom if you please: When it gets to that point in an embroidery, or any creative project to be honest, where it starts to look a bit weird and you start doubting yourself ignore your inner naysayer and soldier on, nothing looks right when it’s half finished!
Jess has introduced us to some great Etsyians in her column – here’s three of our favourite!
