Here’s a bit of brightness on what is an otherwise very dark and dreary day. These fabulous hand embroidered birdy brooches are by the talented Niem Erze. From afar the finch looks like it could be painted – an excellent use of mark making in embroidery and the subtle colour changes are wonderful. Every time I look at it I spot something new! You can check out more of her work over on Deviant Art.
