Sarah “Wolfie” Strub – Contemporary Embroidery & Textile Art Inspiration

For this month’s column, I’ve selected some of my favorite fantasy felt artwork. These are some of the most imaginative needle felt creations I’ve come across, full of wonderful detail and expression. "My Arm Can Fly" is the work of artist Sarah "Wolfie" Strub. She creates one of a kind fantasy monsters like "Flox" and "Dream Snake" above. I love the integration of clay and mixed media into the felt sculptures. My particular favorites are the curly-haired birds and unicorn pig! I only wish larger photos were available to see more of the detail.
