ABSTRACT INDIA – GREEN BUDDHA TEMPLE reflects the inner light of quiet contemplation, created from a simple shape of Buddha sitting in his temple, repeated in green, blue and golden hues. Each panel is adorned with a beautiful jewel set against a background embellished in beads and sequins, bouncing light around, capturing the essence of Buddha.


ABSTRACT INDIA – VIBRANT BUDDHA TEMPLE is a thickly padded wall hanging created from individual abstract temples, each adorned in beads, sequins and mirrors, capturing the intensity of heat and light. A golden background is encrusted with light reflective embellishment and as light and sunshine passes over the surface so it evolves. Individual temples are thickly padded to create deep furrows within the surface of the textile, establishing an undulating landscape. Brown silk panels entice the viewer inside, a peaceful retreat from the lively exterior. Vibrant patterned fabrics capture the essence of festivities and celebration, each embellished to enhance colour and form.


ABSTRACT INDIA – ELEPHANTS is adorned in sequins capturing the intense heat of the day with the sun a cluster of silver sequins.
