The latest edition of the world’s best cross stitch magazine has arrived and it’s a corker! Issue 8 is our Munchies edition!
As you’ve come to expect from XStitch, we have an eclectic selection of forward thinking cross stitch patterns for your stitching pleasure, from an international cohort of design talent, all of whom are expressing their love of food! As you might expect from this particular topic, we’ve got a full menu of items for you to enjoy – check this out!
The Munchies issue is packed full of projects that you’ll want to sink your teeth needle into and we think there’s something in there to suit every taste!
We welcome four new designers to the XStitch family including Polish designer Sweet Annet, whose love of pizza is evident from her design!
In total there are 20 designs in the Munchies issue, with the four main food types covered: pizza, donuts, burgers and cake! But seriously, we’ve got all types of food, including a kids’ menu with simple designs to stitch and a few snacks, like Apple Tree Cross Stitch‘s Popcorn!
We’ve got some great articles, including an interview with Caren Garfen, who uses tiny stitches to explore big issues, and we’ve book reviews, a terrific pincushion that you’ll want to buy, and lots of other good reading. Why not make a cuppa and maybe enjoy a biscuit while you flick through the issue? If you’ve no biscuits to hand, the Makers’ Marks design can come to the rescue!
Of course not all food is fun and we’ve got a couple of designs that explore issues like Dieting and Hanger, but with a nice touch of humour. Italian artist Marina Bolmini provides a darkly delicious design for her first outing with us!
Thankfully not all the design are unhealthy and as well as including the cross stitch design of this lovely tomato from Ann’s Orchard, you can win one of her chunky cushion kits as well!
If you like food and you like cross stitch, then the Munchies Issue of XStitch is a must-have!
