Nike Schroeder is a Los Angeles based artist who uses free machine embroidery to explore human experience and play at the edges of abstraction and surrealism.
Last week we shared some of her Edgar Herbst series, and we have some more pieces from that series for you here.
Nike has recently completed a couple of self-portraits, which gives a further indication of her mad skills and wry sense of humour…
I really enjoy the illustrative style of these pieces. They remind me of Marloes Duyker and Meagan Ileana, but the energy and wit in the pieces makes them unique.
In case you missed it, we also featured Nike in the latest NSFW Saturday post with her Flesh Ideal pieces. It’s great stuff!
You can find out more about Nike on her website, and on her Instagram, but we’ve got more of her work in the posts below – enjoy!
What Technique Is This?
This is free machine embroidery and if you want to find out more about it, check out our dedicated post!
