Bren Ahearn is a male embroiderer from San Francisco.
A student of textiles from San Francisco State University, Bren has recently started sharing his works on Flickr, and they’re terrific.
From cross stitching on flip flops to embroidered cage fighting, Bren is not afraid to have a go at something new and different.
His sampler series politicises the traditional sampler styles, but with a good sense of humour as well. Snippets of his life are made available to us, and I, for one, would like to know more.
Bren’s cool – he’s only beginning to share his magic with us, but I am confident that his work will continue to impress and inspire. Check out his website for more of his great work.
